About me

Hello! I'm Josh, a sound designer and composer based in the UK. 

I'm a Game and Interactive Audio graduate from Futureworks.

With previous background and qualifications in music and audio production, I am keen to learn new skills and techniques surrounding the audio field. I enjoy manipulating and processing audio to create, experiment and develop new tonal ideas that can provide deeper context to a project.

I am very privileged to be able to pursue my creative passions, and my enthusiasm and drive allows me to focus on my goal - creating quality aural experiences for people to connect with. As an avid gamer, I have had the pleasure to experience the mass of talent produced by many developers from the early PlayStation era and onwards.

Through my time studying, I have found a great sense of challenge and achievement in learning, overcoming and developing my technical skills alongside the creative aspects of audio. I feel the implementation of audio is like a large adaptive puzzle that requires problem solving, communication and an understanding of the technical methods and approaches. Developing skills in Wwise, FMOD, Pure Data and blueprinting in Unreal Engine has given me a solid foundation to grow on, and future skills I wish to progress with. From creating custom plugins in Pure Data, to furthering my knowledge of advanced tools in Wwise. It's extremely satisfying to begin with a blank DAW and end with a fully integrated piece of audio.
